Quark voyages travel deep into the Drake Passage and Antarctic Peninsula where the nearest hospital can be 72 hours away by helicopter or ship. Pre-existing condition waivers typically require insurance purchase within 14-21 days of initial trip deposit—miss that window and chronic conditions are excluded from claims. Carry proof at embarkation; gaps in coverage can prevent boarding.
